CLAIRE E. SCOTT

poet & comedian

Claire E. Scott is an Arkansas-based writer and comedian.

She is a poetry candidate in the University of Arkansas’ MFA Program in Creative Writing & Translation. She currently serves as the Arkansas International’s poetry editor.

Claire has poems published in BOOTH, Beaver, Laurel Review, Hobart, and other magazines. Her writing was awarded the 2023 West Trade Review Prize for Poetry by Robert Wood Lynn as well as the 2024-25 Walton Family & Carolyn F. Walton Cole Fellowship in Poetry.

She has performed stand up at Big Diamond Comedy Festival, Don’t Tell Comedy, Black Apple Cider, and more.

She earned BA’s in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Tulsa.
